Bean Processing Line 2 Ton
For processors seeking high-quality results with minimal complexity, Herbort’s 2-ton/hour bean processing line offers a compact and efficient solution for trimming and grading pre-cleaned beans.
It combines proven mechanical trimming with manual inspection and inline recirculation for untrimmed beans, ensuring consistent output and reliable performance. Ideal for small to mid-sized operations needing flexibility, precision and cost-efficiency without full automation.
- Compact and cost-efficient solution ideal for small to mid-sized operations
- High trimming accuracy with inline recirculation for untrimmed beans
- Manual inspection integration ensures quality without complexity
Feeding via Buffer Belt
The line begins with a buffer belt, which ensures smooth and continuous feeding of pre-cleaned beans into the trimming stage. This solution provides operational flexibility without the need for a storage bunker.
Trimming
Beans are evenly distributed into two parallel Bean Snipper 75
Removing stems, tendrils and tops using a slotted drum and tendril remover. Delivers high trimming efficiency and nearly complete tendril removal.
The discarded cut of material is collected via water flume.
After trimming, the beans from both lines are transferred onto the inspection station, merging the product flow and preparing it for inspection.
Inspection
The Inspection belt moves the beans through a manual inspection station, where operators visually check the product and remove any untrimmed or defective beans. Untrimmed beans are placed in circulation, going through the snippers maximising efficiency. This manual step ensures high final product quality while keeping the system simple and cost-effective.
Cutting
Post-inspection, the beans pass over an alignment vibrator, which aligns and separates the product. The beans are then conveyed to the Herbort Universal Cutter 26H, producing evenly cut beans ready for freezing, blanching or other downstream processing.
Vibrating Grader
The cut beans pass over a grading vibrator with a sizing deck:
- Correctly sized beans pass over the top and continue to the next processing stage.
- Undersized pieces fall through the deck and are discharged separately.
This ensures that only beans of the desired size make it to the final product line.
Waste collection
Underneath the trimmers lays a water flume collecting trimmed of parts.
When the water reaches the tank, the waste is sorted out by use of an auger cleansing the water for reuse.
Machines
Conveyors are essential components in any processing line. We have years of experience in constructing them. We can offer you a wide variety of conveyors for different applications.
The Elevator 161 is designed for efficient produce transportation while maintaining a compact footprint, making it ideal for facilities with limited space.
The 75 R is suitable for removing tendrils, stems and the tops of beans that were mechanically plucked.
The inspection belt 85 spreads the produce gentle and equally for inspection.
With this new slicer 26H it is possible to obtain an evenly and precisely sliced product. This machine can cut long products, such as carrots, cucumbers, leek, celery, rhubarb, beetroot (long variety) without head etc. into slices.
This vibrator 207 distributes, sorts and removes excess water through the use of vibration slots.
